<p>It&#8217;s been a week since the unveiling of our two new products, and I sit in amazement at the flurry of activity, excitement, and hope.</p>
<p>We have, in our hands, science-based products that truly make a difference in people&#8217;s lives in so many ways. As I reflect on last week&#8217;s product launch, my thoughts drift back to Dr. Nagasawa, a world-renowned scientist who had to miss his own product launch because he was being honored by the Department of Homeland Security for his groundbreaking discovery for the U.S. Department of Defense. We talk a lot in this business about WHO we are partnering with, and after last week, it struck me that I get to participate in taking Dr. Nagasawa&#8217;s life&#8217;s work out to the masses and <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>what an honor it is</strong></span> to have a small part in this Max Revolution.</p>
<p>If you spend time getting to know Dr. Nagasawa and the rest of the Max Family, I know you&#8217;ll agree that we&#8217;re all blessed beyond measure to be involved with this company. There&#8217;s no question our future is in the best of hands.</p>
<p><span style="color: #990000;"><strong>But there&#8217;s work to be done</strong></span>. What&#8217;s our next step and how do we incorporate these new products into our business? My response is simple.</p>
<p>Keep listening to people and when the opportune moment presents itself, share the Max Story as it relates to <strong><span style="color: #990000;">them,</span></strong> not how it can best benefit <strong><span style="color: #990000;">you</span></strong>. If they’re mentioning an issue related to their health, tell them you have a breakthrough product you&#8217;d like to share with them. If they mention earning extra income or their budget is tight, briefly tell them you&#8217;re involved with a company whose founders are X, whose Scientists are Y, and whose products are Z. Hand them our new corporate video DVD or point them to the website to watch it and, honestly, if they have a pulse, I believe they’ll be intrigued!</p>
<p>Each of you bring unique talents, ideas, opinions, and gifts to this business, so a one-size-fits-all sampling campaign may or may not work for you, so <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>listen to your prospect’s needs</strong></span> and the rest should come naturally.</p>
<p>As we build toward Convention, I will continue to treat my prospects the same way I always have.  I&#8217;ll share samples with them, get them to a fly-in, train them properly, and encourage them every step of the way to Bronze and beyond! <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>My main focus will remain MaxGXL®</strong></span> because the product is remarkable, and we&#8217;ve seen great things. We&#8217;re also hard at work encouraging everyone to incorporate Max N-Fuze™ into their daily routine because of the critical role Max N-Fuze plays in one&#8217;s overall cellular health.</p>
<p>Our newest superstar, MaxATP™, is a product we want everyone to try, especially when they need that extra push in the day. MaxATP doesn&#8217;t game the body, and in fact is healthy to incorporate into your overall health and wellness plan. As the energy drink market was $10 billion in sales last year, everyone is clearly looking for more energy, and energy is now more of a marketing term used to describe the feeling of a caffeine/sugar rush which, unfortunately, isn&#8217;t true energy at all—it&#8217;s junk energy. Briefly educate your people why MaxATP is a breakthrough solution to a growing problem. As you can imagine, <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>the demographic for this product is wide open</strong></span>. You should be so confident in the science and the scientist behind this product that it should be impossible for you to stay quiet!</p>
<p>So the great news is this—if you&#8217;re reading this blog, you&#8217;re continuing to stay &#8220;plugged in,&#8221; and that&#8217;s the first step in the right direction. We&#8217;re on the tip of the iceberg, so I encourage you to<span style="color: #990000;"><strong> keep sharing the Max story</strong></span> with everyone who will listen. Trust me, people are open to what you have to say so be confident!</p>
<p>Dr. Nagasawa, Dr. Keller, and the Max Team have given us all we need, so <strong><span style="color: #990000;">let&#8217;s show them what we can do</span></strong>!</p>
<p>October is just around the corner, and I&#8217;m more convinced than ever that this Convention will be pivotal to your Max business. Book your trip and save me a seat! Looking forward to seeing you all.</p>

<p>Last week, in a special launch meeting in Salt Lake City and in countless Associate-hosted events around North America, Max International introduced two new products, MaxATP and Max N-Fuze™. Both represent <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>a huge leap forward</strong></span> and significantly broaden our target market and demographic exposure.</p>
<p>The energy drink market now stands at $10 billion, 15% of which is in the U.S., and that number grows each year. The 20-35 age group comprises the bulk of this market! At the same time, the unemployment rate for this group is high in our current economy. There are plenty of entrepreneurs in this age group who are open to a chance to get ahead, and Max is the perfect company for them to join!</p>
<p>RiboCeine™ is the central factor in MaxATP.  It is <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>a patent-pending proprietary ingredient</strong></span> that represents a new defining category, backed by 25 years of research and development. <p>As I am sitting on my balcony this morning in Hawaii, I cannot properly relay to each of you how I feel about Max. If you were on the training call last Tuesday night, you would have heard me speak from the heart about how my life has been changed dramatically over the past two years (my two-year anniversary with Max is today).</p>
<p>I have learned so much about the crazy MLM business and so much about what not to do. Nothing like the education you receive in the “School of Hard Knocks.” However, if you apply what you learn you get a master’s in the field very quickly and I think I am closing in on a degree.  It will be awhile until I am an expert, but I am OK with that and realize it takes time.</p>
<p>Time leads me to my first point. We are very seldom willing to put in the necessary time and effort to become an overnight success. I will not quote you all the statistics but most people or companies that became an overnight success dedicated years of hard work to become an “overnight success.” If you have heard me speak in the last few months you hear me use the example of sending our kids to college for, on average, five years, and hope they get out with a job that pays $35,000 per year.</p>
<p>Compare that to our opportunity in Max. It costs you, on the top side, $1,000 dollars to start your own business and I hear people complain! For heaven’s sake, I have started multiple businesses where I have spent more than $100,000 and lost it all trying to get a business rolling. You have to get a perspective on the Max business—$1,000 to start a business and basically no employees or other issues of a standard business. Think about this: my brother Mike was recently telling me the comments from his CPA about the advantages of being in a home-based business. You get an immediate $7,000 savings on your taxes for phone, internet, office space in your home, etc. Everyone that is employed would be crazy not to be in a home business!</p>
<p>So, you have invested your money, now all you need to do is become diligent with your time. Crown Diamond Alan Sickman says, “if the average Associate could spend just 1 hour per day for a total of seven hours per week they would reach amazing success levels in this business.”</p>
<p>Let’s put time into the proper context. Building a home-based business is not a 90, 120 or 180 day deal. To be a Bronze, you have to have at least 2000 CV in each leg, or a total of 4000. That equates to a total of 60 people ordering product under you! That is possible for anyone who is willing to give one hour a day of their time. We have two new people in Australia who have made Bronze in one month and now they will both be Silver their second month. Everyone needs to set a goal to be Bronze in the next 90 – 120 days or however long it takes. Like Nike says, “Just Do It.”</p>
<p>What is the future of Max? To go forward, we have to go backwards to really get the full picture. Going backward, it starts with the Co-founders Steve Scott and Greg Fullerton. They have given their lives to advance this life-changing product to the world. No small matter, and to get two successful people to give up everything for this goal! You all know their story so I will not spend much time harping on it, but we just need to remember where we started.</p>
<p>You then have to look at the company team—why Peter Nordberg, Mike Larkins, and many other corporate studs have hitched their wagon to Max. It is almost unimaginable to think Peter has taken the helm of this ship. When you hear about the crazy divine providence that took place to get him to consider this company, when he could do anything and does not have to do anything, it is inspiring to say the least. We have a leader who has done it before and will do it again with this company.</p>
<p>I could go on about Peter and this corporate team, but for the sake of time I will not. As a member of the Advisory Council, I can tell you these men are of the highest integrity and honor that I have ever experienced in business, and I am very proud to be associated with them.</p>
<p>Now, the product. Just two years ago, MaxGXL completely changed the lives of my family members, and if you have been in this business very long you know someone who has an unbelievable story like ours. You have to cement this into your mind and your heart. This is not coincidence, it is real, life-changing, breakthrough science. This product really works on everybody even if they do not know it.</p>
<p>Everyone you have helped experience the product or become an Associate is better off than they were before you started, even if they are not making money…yet. This has to become a fact that is imbedded in your mind and heart that forces you to tell people about Max every day!</p>
<p>Founders, Corporate Team and Product. Lets talk about timing, the last and possibly the most important factor. If you cannot read the signs, the writing on the wall, the possibilities of the next few months you may need to check your pulse. You have to remember what I said about time. It takes time… It takes time….In any business you try to build, there are going to be ups and downs and sometimes it will go sideways too. This is part of the process of business and part of the process of life. You have to decide if you are going to be in the game when the company explodes into momentum. Are you going to look back and be one of those people who say “I was in the company to early, I tried but it did not work for me,” or someone who says, “Thank God I stayed in the game!” I choose to be one of the latter statements!</p>
<p>Addressing the June launch of the products. You may have heard one of us say, “I believe Max will go into momentum after the launch of these new products.” Basically, what we are all saying is everything up to this point in Max has been training, preseason, pre-game, getting ready for what is coming.  The question is: Are you going to be prepared for the explosion of growth that is coming. You should be calling all your existing people, touching base with anyone you have ever spoken to before and adding as many new people as possible over the next 30 days.  Everything you do could easily be multiplied by hundreds or thousands when momentum kicks in….Don’t miss it!!</p>
<p>I can tell you my personal commitment and the commitment of Max Champion Leaders is to do everything possible to be ready, to help you be ready and to help you help your people to be ready. Let’s be dedicated to starting the fires that might be dim or to add fuel to the fires that are already burning and explode your business for the future!</p>

<p>It always sounds simple when we hear it—“if you get two and they get two and so on, it turns into thousands of people.” This is a true story and I am one of those people who it has happened to, which means you can also be one of those stories. But that is not my point.</p>
<p>“<em><strong>Success starts way before you recruit your first two people into the business</strong>.”</em> It starts with a position of the heart. As my brother Mike says, “You need a decided heart,” which means you have decided—no matter what gets in your way—that you are going to succeed. You have to look at your present situation and decide, “I am going to improve or change.” Nothing can or will happen until you make this decision.<br />
One of the best ways to do this is to <strong><span style="color: #990000;">plug into your upline leaders’ success</span></strong>. Most importantly, <em>just get started</em>. Take the first step. This process is not and will never be a 90-120 day fix. <em>This is a way of life</em>. The first key is <strong><span style="color: #990000;">consistency</span></strong>.</p>
<p>Another key is <strong><span style="color: #990000;">great relationships</span></strong>. Have you ever noticed people who just seem to have a lot of friends? I bet that in most cases it is because they know how to be a good friend. If you are going to have success, especially in network marketing, you must work on improving your relationship skills.</p>
<p>Be the friend you would like to have. Listen to others, find out what makes them tick. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Be generous to those in your circle with your time, talent and treasure. Be willing to serve. Zig Ziglar says it like this: “If you help enough other people get what they want then you will always get what you want.” You have to realize it is not about you!</p>
<p>The last key may be most important and most difficult of all—being teachable. You have to learn how to function in a team and as a team to be successful.  There are people all around you that have spent many years making mistakes and learning from them. These people have the greatest experience you can get, “The School of Hard Knocks,” which does not lie.</p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #990000;">Find a mentor</span></strong>, someone who you respect and can listen to, and attach yourself to him or her. It does not need to be a person you know. I have several mentors like John Maxwell and Zig Ziglar. I can read their books and listen to their CDs and gain a wealth of information. I also have a personal mentor who is my Pastor who challenges me on all fronts on my daily and personal walk.</p>
<p>You have to learn from people who have achieved what you want to achieve. It could be your sponsor or the up-line Gold, Platinum or Diamond in your team. Remember it is not their job to track you down, it is your job to do whatever it takes on their schedule to gain their wisdom and input. <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>You will have to prove</strong></span> you are truly interested in growth and change before anyone will take you seriously.</p>
<p>Max is ramping up for the end of June. We will launch new products and tools and, according to CEO Peter Nordberg, there are <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>a few surprises coming</strong></span>. Many of the field leaders, including me, believe we will hit momentum coming out of summer and see a meteoric rise for years to come. You do not want to miss this and you have to prepare!<br />
It is a real honor to be part of the Advisory Council and represent the field in this great company. My hope is that I can play a small part in taking Max to the next level—let’s all get ready for the next level!</p>

<p>Do you remember the very first time you “saw” Network Marketing? I was in a restaurant in the Marriott Hotel, downtown Toronto. This person I had just met was literally drawing circles on a napkin. I asked him to give me the weekend to think about it. And truly, for two days I could think of nothing else. Literally, in that one-hour meeting, this stranger had handed me all my dreams on a silver platter.<span style="color: #990000;"><strong> I will never forget it</strong></span>. All I had to do was build it.</p>
<p>However, I made one common mistake. I joined an amazing company 18 years too late. It was the equivalent of joining Max in 2026! You are in the right place at the right time, make no mistake about it. The faster you build your team, the more “nets” you will have in the water when momentum hits.</p>
<p>But let’s go back to that first company…I thought, if they can do it, I can do it. So I jumped in and went to work. I did everything I was told, exactly as I was told. I did NOT make up my own system, my own scripts, and didn&#8217;t change a WORD of what I was taught. I simply did and said what the successful Associates told me to do. <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>I still do the same today</strong></span>. As a result, that learning is still the groundwork of everything I do today.</p>
<p><em>(Tip: You can start to introduce your own ideas when your check stops coming in the mail and starts coming via UPS, also known as The Happy Truck.)</em></p>
<p>However, despite doing all the correct activity, <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>there is still a learning curve</strong></span>. It’s the process of going from “hoping” this will work for you, to “knowing” it will work for you. This paradigm shift is what separates the successful from the rest. And you can ONLY ascend the learning curve by logging hours with prospects and learning from top income earners. <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>That’s it, that’s all</strong></span>. Prospect. Listen to top income earners. Repeat over and over.  You have to talk to a hundred or more qualified prospects. The faster you do it, the more you internalize the learning.</p>
<p>Internalization starts with learning what the correct activities are. Notice I said “learning” them, not inventing them. These come<span style="color: #990000;"><strong> from your successful upline</strong></span>. Then you go through the process of understanding “why” they are of value or why they make sense. This happens through personally prospecting and reviewing your results. Every answer you ever wanted comes from the “doing” and “reviewing.&#8221; I call it “course correcting.” Finally, you come to accept the ideas as your own viewpoint.</p>
<p>The single-most important factor in determining your success is the length of time it takes you to go from hoping to knowing.</p>

<p>The month of February has been a whirlwind of activity. Ending January with the Las Vegas Showcase caused such a swell of excitement and confidence for all who attended. Hats off to the corporate team for putting together such a dynamic celebration for us.</p>
<p><span style="color: #990000;"><strong>February was a strong month</strong></span>.  So, what happened? Many things, including:</p>
<ul>
<li>The field excitement coming from the <strong><span style="color: #990000;">Las Vegas Event</span></strong>.</li>
<li>The &#8220;open upgrade&#8221; opportunity to become a Diamond Pack Associate if you missed the normal 60 day window.  (Max Corporate responded to our request to give us one &#8220;open upgrade&#8221; chance.  Thank you.)</li>
<li>The launching of the <span style="color: #990000;"><strong>Recharge Pack</strong></span>.  For the business builders, using the Recharge Pack options will become a part of basic business.</li>
<li>The double FastTrack Commissions following the purchase of a Recharge Pack.  For four weeks after the purchase of a Recharge Pack in the month of February, all North American associates will could earn double FastTrack commissions when enrolling at least five new Associates with a product pack.</li>
<li>Associates working to qualify for the <span style="color: #990000;"><strong><a href="http://blog.maxgxl.com/?p=1720">Diamond/Leadership Celebration</a></strong></span> in May, which closed on February 28th.</li>
<li>Lots of new associates joining Max International.</li>
<li>The opening of operations in New Zealand.</li>
</ul>
