Relationship-building is a critical ingredient in any Associates’ successful network marketing business. To keep your funnel full of prospective recruits and customers, you have to establish a relationship of trust with new people and maintain the relationship over time. As we state in the Max Action Plan booklet, “the key to prospecting is to take a sincere interest in the people you meet.”
Social networking, if used right, can be a great way for you to connect with people. But, where do you get started, and how do you leverage it? Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and blogging, to name just four avenues, all offer great opportunities to connect. Today, some quick tips about Facebook. The rest will follow next week.
Facebook
I can’t recommend Facebook highly enough. Sure, it’s something that teenagers use to gossip about their friends, or for grandparents to keep up with their grandkids…but that’s the point. Everyone seems to be on Facebook these days. Go where the people are. You’ll find countless opportunities to share your message in innocuous ways.
If you don’t have a Facebook account yet, make one today. If it’s completely foreign to you, have one of your kids help you get started. Once you have an account, start adding friends. Start with neighbors, colleagues, relatives, other Associates, etc. As you meet new people, and when it seems appropriate, add them to your friends on Facebook so that you can drip messages on them.
The best way to share Max is to simply tell people what you are up to in your status updates. Instead of publishing a status that says, “Who wants to join my Max business?” you can use messages like:
- “Off to Salt Lake City for a Max meeting”
- “I love working from home”
- “Ran four miles this morning and feel great. Thanks MaxGXL!”
- “Watch MaxGXL TV tonight on DirecTV channel 318”
- “My company is flying me to Hawaii!”
Share what’s exciting about your Max business and chances are at least a few people will want to know more. Consider who will see your messages on Facebook, and tailor accordingly.
By the way, since June, roughly 1,400 people have become fans of Max International on Facebook. That’s huge! This provides us with another forum to keep people up to date. We really appreciate the interactions and feedback we have with our Associates on Facebook.
Keep up the great work!
