Max Momentum Tour Day 2: San Luis Obispo

The long and winding road that leads to your door…

It was indeed a long and winding road that took the Max Momentum Tour from Pleasanton, Calif., down the Pacific Coast Highway to San Luis Obispo. What spectacular scenery. I have always wanted to travel that road, and it didn’t disappoint. Hopefully the photos below do it justice.

The  twists and turns and the rise and fall of the road are sort of like yourMax journey to success. You know where you are and where you are going, but you also know the road isn’t going to be straight and smooth. But when you are suitably prepared for what lies ahead, you can “relax” and enjoy the scenery on the way to your destination.

Our destination last night was the quirky Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo. I don’t know if it’s rococo or…art nouveau or just plain kitsch, but it’s memorable! It even has it’s own Wikipedia entry.

Tom Mendenhall, John Chamberlain and other leaders in the area put together a great meeting, which featured Henry Kramer and Jim Fitzpatrick. Following their remarks, Peter Nordberg and Greg Fullerton shared their perspectives with the crowd. Say what you want about these two (and they are both excellent), what really grabs my attention most is their obvious sincerity. They both care a great deal about Max Associates and doing all it takes to make Max a world-class company. And when men of their caliber and accomplishments take this time to benefit a cause like Prevent Child Abuse Utah, that says a lot.
